Glen Cain/Pondmills

Pond Mills is in the southeast corner of the city with great access to both the natural wonder of Westminster Ponds and the 401 Highway. Its homes are a mix of single-detached houses built in the 1970s and 1980s, townhomes, and some small apartment buildings.  There is a large commercial corridor along Commissioners Road that has many shops and services, including the Pond Mills Branch Library.

Glen Cairn Woods is a residential neighbourhood in southeast London. The predominant style of housing is single detached homes, with a good mix of condo developments and apartment buildings.  The oldest buildings in the neighbourhood date back to the mid 1900s with some built in the last few decades.  The main commercial area is on Commissioners between Pond Mills and Highbury.   The Pond Mills branch of the London Public Library is also in that part of the neighbourhood.  Large commercial buildings occupied by light manufacturing, offices and retail outlets line Adelaide Street.  The Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre is also located on Adelaide Street and offers resources, programming and volunteer opportunities to residents of all ages in the neighbourhood.

The neighbourhood is home to St. Sebastian, Princess Elizabeth, Glen Cairn and C.C. Carrothers Public Schools.   The major park in the area is Glen Cairn Park, with walking trails, and a pool. Naiomi Almeida Park on Deveron Cresent has a skateboard park, soccer field, swings, play structure, and basketball court.  The southern edge of the neighbourhood borders the beautiful Westminster Ponds area. The Caesars Off-leash Area is located in the neighbourhood near the intersection of Commissioners and Adelaide.
