Lambeth

A highly unique neighbourhood in southwest London, Lambeth is a vibrant community of mainly single-family homes that exudes a quaint, small town atmosphere. It contains many locally owned businesses that have retained their charm and family-owned tradations in spite of the slow process of modernization that has occurred over the past several decades. Although many citizens still refuse to equate Lambeth as a part of London, this community has certainly managed to combine the best of both worlds and stay true to its original identity/past while also moving into the 21st century. In existence for several centuries, Lambeth didn’t become a part of London until 1993 and has both older homes (farm houses, bungalows) and newer developments. The majority of homes in this area are single-family residences, however, there are still condos and townhomes in some of the newer developments that are being built.
